Man That You Intended Him to Be

6-21-01

VERSE I

alone, alone, after the sun is gone.

peace of mind, some by-myself time.

and i know with some degree of certainty

that when God sends Mr. Right, exclusively

he will know the troubles i've seen,

my sad times, the happies in between.

and he'll still accept me whole, each fault and fame

while to love's persistent winds we cast our claim.

CHORUS I

God move him please,

on bended knees

let him know

that i'm waiting patiently.

God in him now

please show him how

to be

the man that You intended him to be.

VERSE 2

man of faith, promise resonates

of our time, love is sweet design.

haven't met you yet, but know you're there

around some distant corner - anywhere.

God's not through, He's still molding you.

shown and proved, fear and doubt removed.

how do i know this will come to pass?

what i've asked shall come my way and last?

CHORUS II

God moved in me

on bended knee

and i know

to wait here patiently.

God in me now

has shown me how

to be

the woman He intended me to be.

BRIDGE:

holy is a love

consecrated above

i will wait for the man

in God's plan

REPEAT CHORUS I

the man that You intended him to be.
